You will have to brave your way through a cluster of shops, eateries and fun fairs, where cheerful locals enjoy the year-end festivities on merry-go-rounds. On the way, you might find a sadhu reading palms, a monkey walking a tight rope and snake charmers showing off their tricks.

You will also find the animal trade fair featuring in excess of 50000 colourfully-donned camels. At the Pushkar Fair that happens in early November, animal owners from villages near and far, come to sell their camels, cattle and horses. And for a small fee, you can enjoy a camel ride too!
